Just like any year...it's never the exclusives I care about on either system.
Sure games like The Last of Us, Halo 4, God of War Ascenscion, etc...are exclusive games but I'll only play them for campaigns that I'm sure won't last more than a week then its off to the dust collector area.
Multiplatforms like Bioshock Infinite, Hitman Absolution, Metal Gear Rising, black ops 2, lords of shadow 2, possibly a Diablo3 360 release, Zone of Enders HD,...

In Crysis 2 you scaled all over the place, kicked cars, threw people, threw objects, swam, climbed etc.
If Crytek made a game where all the camera angles were FIXED or only had to only worry about controls, graphical presentation to make cutscenes meld with gameplay....
Regardless. For a console that has been "closing the gap" a title like Mass Effect should have garnered better competing numbers with the ps3's install base.

I don't know...what ps3 exclusive has as much destructibility, open scale, and physics as battlefield 3?
Uncompressed audio, and more space to up the resolution of cutscenes for a great smoke and mirror effect...isn't that much of an improvement.
Has blu ray made exclusive games longer, look better to a margin that it makes things...

I play my shooters on Xbox simply put because I like the controls that much and I know there will be more longevity to the life of Max Payne 3's multiplayer on Xbox 360.
Apparently disc swapping isn't a big thing. 4:1 Mass Effect 3 sales tell a different story.
Tablets can be successful all they want in terms of graphics, the console market share will be unscathed.
People who play consoles are to accustomed to it. 2014 is close but it'd take 3 generations of blinded by pop culture parents condemning their children to exclusively playing mobile devices for the console gaming market to feel a dent.
Now I'm not saying it won't be successful. It will have its own market share just like any other handheld dev...
I kinda like how its mechanics have potential. Nice arcade style gameplay with great hit detection and gunplay.
IF it had a full fledged multiplayer with the same feel it could've been a great competitor.
Call of Duty should be able to look like that game.
Yet I still have my money back....so I bought a 3DS I don't care for...for a game that I do care for...and am now at no profit loss.

It showed off the quirkiness of the WiiU and showed that nintendo will be hanging with the big dogs come next generation.
